Jennifer Senecal is a seasoned nonprofit leader with over two decades of experience championing services and expanding opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). A passionate and lifelong advocate for the IDD community, Jennifer brings a dynamic blend of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and mission-driven focus to every role she undertakes.
Most recently, Jennifer served as Regional Director at AbilityPath, where she oversaw programs supporting more than 400 adults with IDD. There, she led organizational growth through building systems from the ground up, forging strong community partnerships, and driving sustainable program development. Her previous leadership roles at Easter Seals Bay Area, Autism Hearts Foundation, and Lifehouse Agency further deepened her passion for serving the IDD community and helped shape her values-driven, collaborative leadership style.
Jennifer’s dedication to the IDD community began early in her career during an internship with the Adult Protective Services Board in South Bend, Indiana. It was there that she advocated for seniors with IDD, gaining deep insight into the challenges faced by underserved populations — an experience that continues to guide her work today.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College in Indiana and a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney, grounding her approach in both person-centered care and evidence-based practice.
Jennifer is honored to serve as the first Executive Director of the Big Wave Group, where she looks forward to helping lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact.
Outside of her professional work, Jennifer is a proud mom to her 6-year-old son, Gillespie. Together, they enjoy traveling, discovering new brunch spots, and connecting with friends at community and social events.
